Core of High-Bay Space HVAC Systems

Different building environments and functional areas have specific requirements for air throw, vertical supply depth, and air velocity in occupied zones.

For different functional requirements, suitable airflow patterns can be selected, such as jet side supply, swirl ceiling supply, or step/seat underfloor supply, using professionally configured air outlets to achieve control targets.

Jet nozzles can achieve side air throw distances above 40 meters.

Swirl diffusers for large spaces provide deep vertical air supply, with heights of at least 10 meters.

Step or seat diffusers provide uniform distribution, low air velocity, and good comfort.

Constant airflow valves work with air outlets to ensure airflow is distributed as required.

Pressure Control Solution

Side supply with jet nozzles

Jet nozzles provide long throw, low resistance, and low noise. Side installation is less affected by ceiling structure and can create stratified air supply to reduce energy use. In winter, electric adjustment can direct warm air downward toward occupied zones.

Temperature and Humidity Control Solution

Top supply with jet nozzles

For very high spaces, sometimes above 20 meters, nozzles can be used at the top for deep downward supply so airflow reaches the floor faster, especially for heating. Airflow and velocity adjustment must be matched for summer cooling and winter heating.

Nozzles near exterior windows or walls can directly cool glass curtain walls and reduce radiant heat.

Special blades create rotating outlet airflow with high velocity and strong penetration, reaching occupied zones quickly. The spiral flow path is longer, and after velocity decay the terminal air speed is lower, balancing supply depth and comfort.

Combined use of constant airflow valves and air outlets for on-demand distribution and uniform airflow.

Whether design airflow is distributed as required strongly affects air supply and final indoor conditions. Constant airflow valves automatically balance and control airflow at each outlet.
